About the Tacoma-Lakewood Coin Club
The Tacoma-Lakewood Coin Club (TLCC) is a vibrant local coin club serving the South Puget Sound region, including the cities of Tacoma and Lakewood Center. The TLCC was founded in 1988 by the merger of the former Tacoma Coin Club (founded in 1957) and the former Lakewood Center Coin Club (founded in 1963). The TLCC welcomes all numismatists — persons who study, collect, or deal with coins, paper money, tokens and medals.
The TLCC is dedicated to fostering a welcoming community for numismatists, promoting education and appreciation of all types of numismatic items. Our mission is to unite enthusiasts from the local area to share knowledge and passion for numismatics, and also to share our knowledge with the public. This is accomplished through our monthly meetings, our annual coin show, our participation in the annual Washington State Fair in Puyallup, and special events, tours, etc., which may be scheduled from time to time.
Please use the navigation tabs above to learn more about these events and activities.

Come visit us and join and engage with our coin collecting community to enrich your numismatic journey.
TLCC Fosters Passion for Coin Collecting
Members connect, share knowledge, and grow their collections through TLCC’s supportive network, which includes the monthly club meetings as well as the annual coin shows, where members and the public can buy, sell and trade items with coin dealers. The TLCC has a numismatic library which members can borrow.
TLCC Builds Lifelong Connections through Numismatics
TLCC empowers collectors to expand their expertise, enjoy rewarding experiences and build lifelong connections and friendships with fellow numismatists. Club monthly meetings are friendly and often include refreshments, prizes, etc., in additional to an educational speaker or program.
TLCC Enhances Coin Collecting and Provides Community Support
TLCC helps members thrive in their hobby, and also provides support to community members who may have questions about numismatics, have coins to sell (for example from an estate), etc. Interested persons may visit club meetings without needing the join the club immediately and can attend the annual coin show for a nominal admission charge.
TLCC members can also apply for grants to cover part of the cost of attending numismatic events such as seminars and national conventions.
