Happy Holidays from the TLCC!

"Hello and welcome to the Tacoma–Lakewood Coin Club. We are currently in our 64th year and would love to have you join us. We meet the 2nd Tuesday of the month – all the directions are here on the website. We also invite you to our bi-annual Coin Club Shows (see below) – Fun for all – Keep on Collecting!" - Todd, TLCC President.

New Coin Show Location!! Beginning with the February 23, 2019 event, TLCC semi-annual coin shows are held at Cheney Stadium, 2502 S Tyler St., Tacoma, WA. Dave Schmidt's coin shows also take place at the same location. The next show is February 22, 2020, just one week before leap year day!

Temporary Meeting Location and Date! Club meetings were temporarily held at Lakewood Community Center, 9112 Lakewood Drive SW, from August to November 2019, on the 2nd Tuesday. It is about a mile away from GLMHC. The December meeting was held at a restaurant.

Back to GLMHC! Beginning in January 2020, club meetings return to the GLMHC facility (Greater Lakes Mental Healthcare, 9330 59th Ave SW, Lakewood, WA), and on the 2nd Tuesday of each month except July.

The December 10, 2019 club meeting was the annual holiday dinner, held at Burs Restaurant, 6151 Steilacoom Blvd SW, Lakewood, WA.

The November 12, 2019 club meeting featured a talk on "Communion Tokens" by Brett McKinley.

The October 8, 2019 club meeting featured Norm Mikat, speaking about his decades of experience in the coin business.

The September 10, 2019 club meeting featured Mike Patton, our local "token guy" (and token and medal dealer).

The August 13, 2019 club meeting faetured a special guest speaker and prizes.

There was a change in plan for the June 18, 2019 club meeting program. It was changed to a "Surprise Program."

The May 21, 2019 club meeting program featured Ken Fialkowski, speaking about "Confederate Currency."

The April 16, 2019 club meeting program featured Dan Gerken, speaking about "Luther Medals."

The March 19, 2019 club meeting program featured a quick grading synopsis on Morgan dollars (all slabbed), presented by club president Todd Hughes. Todd also spoke about testifying in front of the Washington State Senate about the proposed tax on bullion sales.

The February 19, 2019 club meeting program was given by Dan Duncan of Pinnacle Rarities, speaking on topics of his choice.

The January 15, 2019 club meeting program was to have been announced at the meeting. TLCC officers for 2019-2020 were also installed, and new club Bylaws and Procedures/Policies (approved Dec. 2018) are also in effect. (See the current club website for officers, bylaws, etc.)
