Where does the club meet?

The club’s current regular monthly meeting location is American Legion Post #2 at 11204 Park Avenue South in Tacoma. However, club coin shows have moved to AMVETS Post #1 at 5717 South Tyler Street in Tacoma.

Keep in mind that events may occasionally be subject to changes or cancellations. Check this website the day of the event for any last-minute updates.

Please contact club president Todd Hughes (see the “Team” page) if you would like more information about club meetings and events.

When does the club meet?

Monthly meetings are on the 3rd Thursday of each month from about 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., with doors opening around 6 p.m. Business meetings are as announced and may be held at 6 p.m. if preceding a regular meeting.

The next annual coin show is scheduled for Saturday September 12, and is open to the public from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The coin show webpage provides more details.

What should I expect at a club meeting?

Monthly meetings typically include a brief report on club news and activities, some type of educational presentation or activity, show & tell, a raffle and auction, and refreshments and time to socialize with fellow club members. TLCC members can submit up to five items for auction at most meetings – see the TLCC auction form.

What programs are scheduled for upcoming club meetings?

March 19 – To be announced.

April 16 – To be announced.

May 21 – Greg Bennick will speak about either “chop marks” or “counterstruck coins.”

What programs have already been given this year?

January 15 – This meeting included a “discussion on gold and silver and what we know is going on in the world with these two precious metals.”

February 19 – Meeting conducted by the treasurer, in the absence of the president and VP. The speaker was Walter, a YN, about the new Washington State sales tax on coins and bullion.
